        "content": "<p>The 2026 National Conference (Munas) of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)\nReligious Scholars has urged the government to ban other countries from\nfreely accessing citizens\u2019 personal data and to ensure the personal data\nof Indonesian citizens is protected. This became a recommendation of the\nBahtsul Masail Maudhuiyah Commission at the 2026 NU National Conference,\nheld at the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School in Ploso Village, Mojo\nDistrict, Kediri Regency, East Java. \u201cThe government, as the owner of\nthe national data centre, bears a great responsibility to safeguard that\ndata so it does not leak to other parties,\u201d said Commission Member KH\nAniq Nawawi during a plenary session at the Al Falah Islamic Boarding\nSchool in Kediri on Monday (22\/6\/2026). Gus Aniq, as he is familiarly\nknown, stated that personal data is included among private secrets that\nmust receive protection for their owners. \u201cOther parties permitted to\naccess that data also have a responsibility to guard it so it is not\ndisseminated,\u201d he said.
