        "content": "<p>The organising committee of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress\nhas completed verification of the permanent voter list (DPT), confirming\n557 eligible voters who meet the requirements. Rais Syuriyah of PBNU and\nSecretary of the Steering Committee (SC) of the 35th NU Congress,\nMohammad Nuh, stated in Jombang on Wednesday (26\/8\/2026) that the number\nmeets the quorum for the congress to proceed. \u201cThe DPT has been\nfinalised at 557. The total was 590, so around 97 per cent. In terms of\nquorum, it is secure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The committee verified data on the leadership of NU regional boards\n(PWNU), NU branch boards (PCNU), and NU special branch boards (PCINU)\nparticipating in the congress. The data includes the identities of rais\nsyuriyah, katib syuriyah, chairmen, and secretaries, including the\nvalidity period of board decrees (SK).<\/p>\n<p>Each PCNU sends four representatives, while PWNU and PCINU each send\nfour as well. They consist of rais syuriyah, katib syuriyah, chairman,\nand secretary according to the verified leadership data.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mohammad Nuh, around three per cent of boards not\nincluded in the DPT lack voting rights due to failure to meet\nadministrative requirements, including board members who have died or\nwhose leadership data has not been updated.<\/p>\n<p>For PCINU specifically, he said, the issue of data updates is more\ncomplex because some board members are students abroad. After completing\ntheir studies and returning to Indonesia, there is not always a\nsuccessor to continue the PCINU leadership in that country.<\/p>",
