A further 331 people were injured, while 34,689\nresidents have been forced to evacuate.<\/p>\n<p>The figures are based on a report from the East Nusa Tenggara\nRegional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD NTT) as of Tuesday (18\/8\/2026)\nat 09.00 Wita. The data was conveyed by BPBD NTT Policy Analyst Richard\nPelt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis total is based on data from the East Nusa Tenggara Regional\nDisaster Management Agency (BPBD NTT), Tuesday (18\/8\/2026),\u201d said\nRichard.<\/p>\n<p>He detailed that the highest number of fatalities was recorded in\nManggarai Regency with 26 deaths, followed by East Manggarai (25),\nNagekeo (8), Sikka (4), and West Manggarai, Ende, and Ngada with two\ndeaths each.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to claiming lives, the earthquake also caused damage in\nseveral areas. The breakdown\nincludes 658 educational facilities, 172 health service facilities, 172\nplaces of worship, 187 office buildings, and 89 public facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The damage occurred across eight regencies: Manggarai, West\nManggarai, East Manggarai, Ende, Sikka, Ngada, Nagekeo, and East\nSumba.<\/p>\n<p>The scale of the earthquake\u2019s impact has forced tens of thousands of\nresidents to leave their homes and seek shelter.
