        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has\nthe highest achievement in issuing Building Permit Approvals (PBG) for\nthe construction of affordable housing in Indonesia. To date, NTB has\nissued 64 PBG licenses for the construction of 6,170 housing units. This\nwas conveyed by Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian at the Coordinating\nMeeting (Rakor) of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum\n(Forkopimda) at the Merumatta Senggigi Hotel, Lombok, West Lombok\nRegency, on Tuesday May 19, 2026. \u2018The NTB Province is the highest in\nissuing 64 PBG licenses, forming 6,170 housing units,\u2019 Tito asserted. In\nthe same occasion, Housing and Public Housing Minister (PKP) Maruarar\nSirait, also known as Ara, explained that the government continues to\naccelerate access to decent housing for the people through policies that\nare pro-low-income households (MBR), including through the acceleration\nof PBG issuance and fee waivers. He said that housing sector development\nrequires synergy between the central government, regional governments,\nbusiness sector, and the community so that the housing program can run\noptimally. In addition to highlighting the PBG achievement in NTB, Tito\nalso mentioned the Self-Help Housing Stimulus (BSPS) program, which is\nseen as a major government step in improving the quality of people\u2019s\nhousing. \u2018The 400,000 BSPS home renovation program is the first in\nhistory and cannot be accommodated by the APBD, and now the PKP Minister\nprovides at least 500 BSPS home renovations for each district in NTB,\nNTT, Maluku, North Maluku, and Papua,\u2019 Tito said. The government is also\nallocating the construction of 15,000 homes in border areas through the\nNational Border Management Agency as part of the national development\nequity strategy.
