The NTB Provincial Government's Labour and Transmigration Office has launched a complaint hotline for families of two Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who claim they were forced to service 450 men in Saudi Arabia, though no complaints have been received yet. Officials have contacted the social media account that first shared the viral video but received no response, and are urging the public to use official procedures for overseas employment to avoid such risks. This incident highlights the dangers of unregulated migration channels and the need for better protection mechanisms for Indonesian workers abroad.

The Labour and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Nusa
Tenggara (NTB) has opened a complaint service or hotline for the
families of two Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who claim they were
forced to service 450 lecherous men in a month in Saudi Arabia. However,
no members of the public have yet lodged complaints with the NTB
Provincial Government (Pemprov). “Usually, when incidents occur abroad,
we contact the embassy. For example, in Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Saudi
Arabia. We have also opened a complaint service, but no complaints have
come in,” said the Head of Disnakertrans NTB, Aidy Furqan, when met at
the NTB Governor’s Office on Thursday (7/5/2026). Furqan explained that
Disnakertrans NTB has contacted one of the social media accounts that
first uploaded the video of the two PMIs’ confession. The trace revealed
that the account owner is from West Java (Jabar). “We have traced this
account to West Java, but he has not responded or replied. We have
contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), and up to today,
for a week now, we have not received any data or valid information,”
said the former Head of the NTB Education Office. Normally, Furqan
stated, if there are unfortunate incidents experienced by PMIs,
complaints still come in, whether from the embassy, Kemenlu, or the
company or agency that dispatched the victims. “We are just waiting
while advising the public not to believe or be tempted by unclear job
promises. We ask that they use safe work procedures,” Furqan emphasised.
The incident experienced by the two PMIs, Furqan said, is clearly
through unprocedural channels to Saudi Arabia. If dispatched
procedurally, the dispatching company is usually recorded in the
Disnakertrans NTB system. “That means avoid the unprocedural ones.
Because the procedural ones, we ensure they won’t go wrong. If something
goes wrong, it is guaranteed by the company,” Furqan stressed.
Previously, the Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Service
Centre (BP3MI) NTB, Ponco Indriyo, admitted that he had not received any
complaints from the families of the two NTB-origin PMIs who went viral
for claiming they were forced by their employer in Saudi Arabia to
service 15 lecherous men. “Up to today, we have not received any
complaints from the families. Usually, for those done secretly, there is
information from the family, but here there is none yet,” said
Ponco.
",
