The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor\u2019s Office, along with\ndistrict and city prosecutor offices, has deposited a total of Rp17.1\nbillion into the state treasury during the period from January to August\n2026.<\/p>\n
During a press conference held in Mataram on Wednesday to mark the\n81st anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecutor\u2019s Office, the Head of the\nNTB High Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Wahyudi, stated that this Rp17.1 billion\ndeposit originated from various areas of duty.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe largest deposit comes from the collection of corruption\nreplacement money. From January to August 20 \u062a\u0639\u062f\u064a\u0644 2026, assets seized\nfrom corruptors amounted to Rp9.7 billion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He noted that challenges in meeting state loss recovery targets arise\nbecause many corruptors choose to serve additional prison sentences as a\nsubstitute for the financial losses imposed upon them. \u201cMost of them are\nserving their subsidiary sentences. This is something we must remain\nvigilant about,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
In addition to the replacement money, the NTB High Prosecutor\u2019s\nOffice has deposited Rp7.2 billion from Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP)\ninto the state treasury as of late August 2026, representing 86.75 per\ncent of the Rp8.3 billion target.
