        "content": "<p>The Nusa Tenggara Barat High Court has upheld a 10-year prison\nsentence for former police officer Rizka Sintiani in the case of the\nmurder of her husband, Brigadier Esco Faska Rely.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Intelligence at the Mataram District Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Ida\nMade Oka Wijaya, said in Mataram on Friday that the appellate ruling\naffirmed the first-instance verdict, meaning Rizka\u2019s sentence remains 10\nyears in prison.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause it affirms, the defendant at the appeal stage remains\nsentenced to 10 years in prison,\u201d Oka said.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the follow-up to the ruling, Oka said the Mataram\nProsecutor\u2019s Office has not yet determined whether to pursue further\nlegal action to the Supreme Court or accept the appellate decision.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, prosecutors had previously also filed appeals for four\nother defendants: Saiun, Nuraini, Paozi, and Dani Rifkan. However, the\nappellate rulings for those four defendants have not yet been read\nout.<\/p>\n<p>The panel of judges sentenced the former West Lombok Police officer\nto 10 years in prison because she was proven to have committed physical\nviolence within the domestic sphere that resulted in the death of her\nhusband, Brigadier Esco.<\/p>\n<p>Mitigating factors included the defendant having a young child,\nfamily dependents, and no prior criminal record.<\/p>\n<p>In the official sphere, the NTB Regional Police have imposed a\ndishonourable discharge on Rizka based on the ruling of the NTB Police\nEthics Tribunal.<\/p>",
