        "content": "<p>Mataram - The Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Lalu Muhamad\nIqbal, has prepared a budget for additional income of at least Rp500,000\nfor 1,759 teachers holding the status of Part-Time Government Contract\nEmployees (PPPK-PW) on the occasion of National Education Day 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecifically for PPPK-PW teachers whose income depends on teaching\nhours, we are striving amid fiscal limitations to provide better\nwelfare,\u201d said Iqbal at the National Education Day commemoration\nceremony at the field of the NTB Education, Youth, and Sports Office in\nMataram on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a form of appreciation and attention from the NTB Provincial\nGovernment (Pemprov) to teachers with PPPK-PW status,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The NTB Governor emphasised that the Education, Youth, and Sports\nOffice (Dinas Dikpora), as the main education authority, focuses on\nhuman development rather than just physical infrastructure to improve\neducation quality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation quality means the office, school principals, and teachers\nmust start thinking about ensuring all children have access to\neducation. Ensuring no child drops out of school, ensuring the quality\nof teaching materials and teacher quality,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>At the National Education Day commemoration ceremony, the NTB\nGovernor also conveyed the national message on basic and secondary\neducation within five national strategic policies, namely the\nrevitalisation of educational units and digitalisation, fulfilling\nteacher qualifications and competencies as role models and welfare in\nthe form of scholarships for teachers\u2019 higher education.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, strengthening character education through school\nculture and environment, learning quality through literacy and numeracy\nmovements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)\nand academic ability tests, including sports and arts, as well as\npolicies for accessible, affordable, and flexible education services for\nvarious causes of school dropouts with one-roof schools, distance\nlearning, learning communities, and open schools.<\/p>\n<p>To realise quality education, four education ecosystems from schools,\nfamilies, communities, and media are integrated into regulations and\npolicies.<\/p>\n<p>At the commemoration ceremony, the NTB Governor also presented the\nSatya Lencana Karyasatya award to three educators: Siti Nurhani from SMA\nNegeri 5 Mataram, Kamtono from SLB Negeri 1 Mataram, and Ahmad Quroni\nfrom SMK Negeri 1 Mataram.<\/p>",
