Notification letters on property tax<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The City Revenue Office will begin distributing
\nproperty tax (PBB) notification letters to taxpayers throughout
\nthe city on March 25.<\/p>\n
Office chief Wahab Rachmatsjah said yesterday that the office
\nwould be distributing the tax notification letters in two stages.
\nFirst, from March 25 to June 7, taxpayers will be urged to pick
\nup the notification letters from subdistrict offices. During the
\nsecond stage, which will take place on June 14, subdistrict
\noffices will distribute the notification letters door to door.<\/p>\n
\"We hope taxpayers will collect the notification letters from
\nsubdistrict offices and not to wait for the letters to be
\ndelivered to their houses,\" Wahab said.<\/p>\n
He said each subdistrict should distribute all notification
\nletters to its residents within 15 days. To facilitate this, the
\ncity administration has ordered subdistrict offices to offer
\ntheir services on both Saturdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n
He said his office would distribute about 1.2 million tax
\nnotification letters, in a bid to fulfill the city
\nadministration's target of Rp 285 billion in revenue in the
\n1995\/1996 fiscal year.<\/p>\n
The target for the coming 1995\/1996 fiscal year is Rp 83.6
\nbillion higher than that for the 1994\/1995 fiscal year. (yns)<\/p>",
