        "content": "<p>PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has confirmed that its data centre\nprojects will not be funded entirely from internal capital, as the\ncompany plans to bring in strategic partners. This is due to the large\ninvestment requirements, while several of the company\u2019s other projects\nalso demand attention and capital expenditure allocation.<\/p>\n<p>Wholesale &amp; International Service Director Budi Satria Dharma\nPurba explained that the company has shortlisted several prospective\ninvestors to participate in its data centre projects. There are at least\ntwo data centre business development projects in the pipeline: the\nsecond phase of the Cikarang data centre and a data centre in Batam.\nBoth are targeted to commence in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see the investment requirements for data centres as quite\nsubstantial, so our strategy is not to rely solely on organic investment\nbut to seek strategic partners,\u201d Budi said during a virtual public\npresentation on Monday (7\/9).<\/p>\n<p>The tender process for these projects has now entered the evaluation\nstage, with the transaction targeted for completion by the end of 2026\nat the latest. He assured that all working capital used for investment\nwould be deployed in a disciplined manner, with the aim of achieving\noptimal returns, particularly for these data centre projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomer demand remains strong. Going forward, we will add data\ncentre capacity in a disciplined way, and we continue to evaluate\nstrategic partnership opportunities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that in the first half of 2026, Telkom Group\u2019s\ndata centre business unit recorded a positive performance, with revenues\nof Rp867 billion, an 11 per cent increase compared with the same period\nlast year. In terms of scale, the company\u2019s total effective data centre\ncapacity has reached 49.9 MW.<\/p>",
