Preparation for entering retirement is no longer solely focused on
providing access to financing, but rather on establishing a sustainable
mentoring ecosystem. This step is considered crucial to ensure workers
remain independent, healthy, and economically productive after
completing their service period.

This spirit served as the main foundation for PT Bank Mandiri Taspen
and PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero) in strengthening their strategic
synergy through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on
Wednesday (19/8). The cooperation includes optimising banking services,
developing an agro-industry business ecosystem, and pre-retirement human
resource (HR) preparation programmes.

Director of Transformation and Business Development at Bank Mandiri
Taspen Noer Fajrieansyah said the cooperation is not only aimed at
meeting the banking service needs of PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero), but
also at building an ecosystem that provides benefits for employees,
retirees, business actors, and the community.

According to Noer, one focus of the cooperation is mentoring for
employees who are about to enter retirement. The needs of retirees, he
said, are not limited to access to financing, but also mentoring so they
remain productive after entering retirement.

“What must be built is an ecosystem. Bank Mandiri Taspen focuses on
the pensioner and senior citizen ecosystem, both those entering
retirement in five, 10 or 20 years’ time,” said Noer.

He said the synergy with PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero) can expand
the mentoring programme through business development and social
activities that have the potential to provide economic benefits.

One of the opportunities being explored is the development of the
agricultural sector and business ecosystem, including through
non-subsidised kiosks and commercial activities involving business
actors, the senior citizen ecosystem and the community.

Noer expressed hope that the MoU would be followed up promptly
through concrete programmes so that the benefits of the cooperation can
be felt directly by the community.

Director of Finance and General Affairs at PT Petrokimia Gresik
(Persero) Adityo Wibowo said Bank Mandiri Taspen is one of the company’s
strategic partners in expanding synergy.

According to Adityo, the scope of cooperation is broader than just a
business relationship because it can create added value for the company,
employees, and the community.

From a corporate perspective, the synergy can include transactional
services, fund management, optimisation of banking services, and
financing tailored to the company’s needs.

“PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero) is a strategic partner. Not only
building a business relationship, but how to create great value for the
company, employees, and the community,” said Adityo.

Adityo added that PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero) also pays attention
to employees until they enter retirement. Currently, around 90 per cent
of the company’s employees are under 40 years old.

With this composition, most employees are expected to enter
retirement in the next 10-15 years. Nevertheless, the company has begun
preparing programmes so that employees remain independent and productive
after retirement.

Therefore, PT Petrokimia Gresik (Persero) welcomes the pre-retirement
preparation and entrepreneurship development programmes that are part of
the cooperation with Bank Mandiri Taspen.

In addition to the retirement programme, the cooperation between the
two companies also opens up opportunities for developing an
agro-industry business ecosystem. One of these is through the
development of business packages for distributors and retailers as well
as business schemes that can strengthen the agro-industry supply
chain.

This step is considered in line with the business of PT Petrokimia
Gresik (Persero), which operates in the agro-industry sector. The
ecosystem development is expected not only to support product
availability, but also to create added value for business actors and the
community.

From a corporate and supply chain perspective, the cooperation
between the two entities also extends to the development of business
packages for distributors and retailers of agro-industry products, as
well as collaboration on Corporate Social and Environmental
Responsibility (TJSL) programmes focused on community economic
empowerment and environmental sustainability.

“We hope this cooperation does not stop at banking needs and
retirement preparation, but develops into the construction of a broad
business ecosystem that provides real benefits for both companies and
the community,” he explained.
",
