Beyond disrupting train services, two electricity poles at the scene\nalso collapsed after being struck by the train carriages and the truck\u2019s\ncontainer body. This was disclosed by the Tangerang City Metropolitan\nPolice Chief, Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo electricity poles were struck and fell down, collapsed,\u201d he said\non Friday, 20 February 2026.<\/p>\n
The collapsed poles formed part of the railway\u2019s electrical\ninfrastructure. Police officers and relevant authorities are still\nconducting evacuation operations at the site. Jauhari explained that the\ncontainer truck was positioned across the tracks, blocking the rail line\nand requiring immediate removal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the railway\u2019s electrical line infrastructure, and the\ncontainer truck body is currently obstructing the railway tracks. So at\npresent, evacuation is under way to remove it so that the railway line\ncan return to normal operations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Earlier reports indicated that footage of the moment the truck was\nstruck by the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train had gone viral on social\nmedia. In the footage, the truck could be seen straddling the level\ncrossing near Poris Station, Batuceper, Tangerang. The incident was\nreported to have occurred in the morning, resulting in the airport train\nderailing from the tracks.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, KAI Commuter has accelerated the evacuation of the\nderailed Soekarno-Hatta Airport train carriages following the collision\nwith the cement truck. The expedited evacuation was necessitated by the\nderailed carriages obstructing other train services.<\/p>\n
