Jakarta (ANTARA) - Polda Metro Jaya has explained that it is not\nimplementing work-from-home (Work From Home\/WFH) and work-from-anywhere\n(Work From Anywhere\/WFA) arrangements, with police services continuing\nas usual alongside fuel (BBM) efficiency measures.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, the police are not carrying out WFH or WFA, but we are\nimplementing savings related to emissions, fuel, and so on. We are doing\nthat,\u201d said the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police\nCommissioner Budi Hermanto, when met in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
Budi explained that Polda Metro Jaya continues to conduct patrols to\nprovide a sense of security and comfort to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat means there must be a system created through the proper\nmechanism. In our fuel savings, we also consider it, but there are main\nclauses such as police patrol activities that must be carried out\nregardless,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Budi stated that Polda Metro Jaya fully supports the government\u2019s\npolicy on fuel savings.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are other official travel activities, for example, we do not\nuse private vehicles, we can use public transport. Then, we can switch\nfrom four-wheeled vehicles to two-wheeled ones. From two-wheeled, we can\nuse bicycles to the office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The government has announced a new policy aimed at encouraging\nchanges in work culture and lifestyle among the public as part of the\nnational transformation in facing global geopolitical dynamics.<\/p>\n
In the announcement of the national work culture transformation and\nenergy policy conducted online via video conference monitored from\nJakarta on Tuesday, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said the\ncurrent global situation demands that all countries, including\nIndonesia, adapt through efficiency measures and changes in public\nactivity patterns.<\/p>\n
According to him, this momentum is an opportunity for all elements of\nsociety to start making work methods, mobility patterns, and energy use\nin daily life more efficient.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are starting to change our culture and transform forward to face\nthe geopolitics that indeed affects all countries in the world,\u201d said\nPrasetyo.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the transformation includes changes in public\ntransportation habits to reduce fuel oil (BBM) consumption, while also\nincreasing national energy resilience.<\/p>\n
