Basofi Sudirman once sang a song that began with the line,
\n\"not all men.\" But, if I was Doel Sumbang, I would certainly have
\nswooned, \"not all policemen.\" I have recently had a positive
\nexperience with the police.<\/p>\n
One day in late March, my young brother and I went downtown.
\nFor some reason of late, we have been subjected to many songs
\nabout the police. It is as if all that is related to this
\ndepartment is bad, such as extortion, bashings, and aggressive
\nbehavior, and other unpleasant practices.<\/p>\n
But on that day, we met a young, handsome, and neatly clad
\npoliceman, who treated my brother and I in a friendly manner. He
\nwas softly spoken, and this touched me on the inside. I could not
\nfind any negative traits in this man.<\/p>\n
Much public prejudice surrounds the police, but this man made
\nme realize that amongst the few bad policemen, there are many
\ngood ones.<\/p>\n
We must not cast judgment on the entire force.<\/p>\n
For Doel Sumbang, how about composing a song called: Not all
\nthe policemen?<\/p>\n
