        "content": "<p>Norway lifts textile quota<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Norwegian government has decided to lift its<br>\nimport quota on textile and related textile products, including<br>\nthose from Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The director of exports of the Ministry of Industry and Trade,<br>\nSudar SA, said yesterday that Norway&apos;s new import policy would be<br>\neffective from Jan. 1 next year.<\/p>\n<p>He said it would apply to category one textile products such<br>\nas woven jackets, and category seven such as bed linen, Sudar<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Local surveyor company PT Sucofindo will remain in charge of<br>\nmonitoring the country&apos;s exports of textile and textile products<br>\nto Norway despite the quota abolishment.<\/p>\n<p>The Norwegian government currently imposes a quota on the<br>\nimport of products in the two categories under the Agreement on<br>\nTextiles and Clothing.<\/p>\n<p>According to ministry data, Indonesia&apos;s exports of textile<br>\nproducts to Norway for both categories have not met the limit.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia has a remaining 286,520 kilograms of this year&apos;s<br>\nimport quota on category two textiles, Antara said.
