        "content": "<p>Northwest, Garuda tie up<\/p>\n<p>MINNEAPOLIS (Reuter): Northwest Airlines Inc and Garuda<br>\nIndonesia said Monday they signed a commercial cooperation<br>\nagreement to offer enhanced benefits for travel between the<br>\nUnited States and Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>It is the first such alliance between a U.S. and an Indonesian<br>\ncarrier.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement provides for coordination of schedules and<br>\nconnections between the two airlines' flight networks linking<br>\npoints in Indonesia with points in the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>It also calls for code-share service on flights across the<br>\nPacific and on Garuda's and Northwest's respective domestic<br>\nroutes, cooperation in cargo areas and joint marketing, sales,<br>\npromotional and trans-Pacific seat purchase programs.<\/p>\n<p>Garuda Indonesia is 100 percent government owned.
