        "content": "<p>The head of the narcotics unit at North Toraja Police (Polres Toraja\nUtara), Adjunct Commissioner of Police (AKP) Arifan Efendi, along with a\nfellow officer identified by the initial N who served as a unit head,\nhas been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking case in North\nToraja Regency, South Sulawesi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is correct. We have already placed them under special\nassignment (Patsus) for a preliminary investigation,\u201d said Head of the\nProfessional and Security Division (Propam) of the South Sulawesi\nRegional Police, Zulham Efendy, on Sunday (22 February).<\/p>\n<p>The case began when a man identified as ET, alias O, was apprehended\nby officers from the Tana Toraja Police whilst in possession of 100\ngrammes of methamphetamine.<\/p>\n<p>During questioning, ET implicated the police officers from North\nToraja Police, alleging they had been receiving weekly payments of Rp 13\nmillion since September 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will be investigated further to determine the extent of their\ninvolvement and their respective roles,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Zulham affirmed that his division would take firm action against any\npolice members found to be involved in drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bottom line is there is no place for rogue officers playing\naround, especially when it comes to narcotics,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
