Medan (ANTARA) - North Sumatra Deputy Governor Surya has stated that\nthe development of the 74 members of the Provincial Heritage Flag\nHoisting Troop (Paskibraka) does not stop after the commemoration of the\nIndependence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cDevelopment must not stop after 17 August,\u201d said Surya after\ndismissing the 74 North Sumatra Provincial Paskibraka members who had\ncarried out their duties for the 81st Independence Day commemoration at\nthe North Sumatra Governor\u2019s Office on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
He added that collaboration in development between the provincial\ngovernment, regencies, cities, the Purna Paskibraka Indonesia\nassociation, schools, families, and the people of North Sumatra must\ncontinue to be strengthened.<\/p>\n
Building North Sumatra is not only aimed at physical and economic\nprogress, but also at producing a generation that is excellent, of\nstrong character, and has concern for the region.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Governor said the North Sumatra Provincial Government\nhopes that in the future, leaders of North Sumatra and Indonesia will\nemerge from the ranks of the heritage flag hoisting troop.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that in the years to come, from the Paskibraka ranks standing\nbefore me today, leaders of North Sumatra and Indonesia will be born,\u201d\nsaid Surya.<\/p>\n
He expressed appreciation for the Paskibraka members who have\nundergone the selection, education, and training process. He advised\nthat the completion of the flag hoisting does not mean the end of their\nservice.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday you are indeed returning to your respective regions. The\nPaskibraka uniform may be taken off, but the values that have been\ngained should not be cast aside,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cDiscipline, responsibility, integrity, togetherness, the spirit of\nunity, and love for Indonesia,\u201d said Surya.<\/p>\n
Head of the Ideology, National Insight, and National Character\nDevelopment Division of the North Sumatra National Unity and Politics\nAgency, Andry Simatupang, explained that the 74 North Sumatra Paskibraka\nmembers consisted of 41 young men and 33 young women.<\/p>\n
He explained that the North Sumatra Provincial Paskibraka members had\nundergone education and training under a residential system at the Wisma\nAtlet of the North Sumatra Youth and Sports Agency from 6\u201317 August\n2026.<\/p>\n
