It is known that PT Pertamina\n(Persero) has raised the prices of Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and\nPertamina Dex BBM. Meanwhile, the prices of Pertamax and Pertalite\nremain the same. Driver named Rizki (25) admitted he was shocked upon\nlearning the news of the non-subsidised BBM price hike from the reports.\n\u201cUsually, I buy fuel once a day, before the increase it was Rp80,000 for\nthis motorbike. If it rises, it could be Rp90,000 or approaching\nRp100,000 a day,\u201d he added. Rizki uses non-subsidised BBM due to\nconsiderations for his motorbike\u2019s engine. In fact, he feels Pertamax\nTurbo is safer and smoother for the engine. \u201cI also do side gigs as an\nonline taxi driver, so the engine runs smoothly. If prices rise like\nthis, hopefully online taxi fares increase too,\u201d said Rizki. \u201cBecause I\nwork and do online taxi gigs, that\u2019s why I use a lot of petrol.
