Nokia introduces new services<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Nokia Mobile Phones Indonesia and its
\ndistributor for wireless data applications, PT inTouch,
\nintroduced on Wednesday several new value-added services for
\nbooking flights and buying movie tickets through Nokia's
\nhandsets.<\/p>\n
"Making flight reservations and buying theater tickets will be
\nmade possible with eTravel8 and inTouch Ticket Box," Andi Zein,
\ninTouch business development manager, said during a media
\nconference at the Indocomtech 2000 computer exhibition.<\/p>\n
The movie theater at Puri Indah Mall in West Jakarta has been
\nselected for the inTouch Ticket Box pilot project.<\/p>\n
"You can buy tickets for the movie you want at the time you
\nwant through Nokia's handsets," he said, adding that the handsets
\noffering the services were Nokia WAP-enabled handsets, including
\nthe 6210, 9110i and the new 3310.<\/p>\n
Flight reservations can be made with eTravel8.com, a travel
\nportal jointly developed by inTouch, TravelAssist and Abacus.<\/p>\n
The service facilitates online real-time booking made through
\nthe handset, Andi said.<\/p>\n
The programs will be launched at the end of this month, he
