No pork served, we're Muslims<\/p>\n
Even though Bali is one great place to spend a vacation, we
\nfound it was not an easy task to indulge ourselves in pork, let
\nalone the famous lawar, one of the Balinese delicacies.<\/p>\n
Feeling famished after touring the beautiful Bedugul, we, my
\nthree nephews and I, went straight to Mentari restaurant for a
\nbuffet lunch. When I asked the waiter if pork was available, he
\njust smirked as if I was some kind of freak or something, and
\nsaid, \"Well Sir, I am sorry we do not have any pork here because
\nwe have many Muslim regulars here\".<\/p>\n
Look here we are on the island of Bali, not in Aceh. Did I say
\nsomething wrong? To make things worse, another waiter then told
\nme that if I was traveling with a certain tour group, then I
\nshould take a corner seat. For the information of the readers one
\nof my nephews and I are relatively large which makes us
\nrelatively noticeable.<\/p>\n
Despite all that we still love Bali and still want to visit
\nBedugul.<\/p>\n
