What makes \"mystery writer II\" think our letters are in<br>\nthe way of \"other people's opinions?\" If he or she and the \"few<br>\nold-timers\" have something more interesting to write about than<br>\nwe do, why don't they write themselves? Show us how it should be<br>\ndone. But please, don't be ashamed to publish your name.<\/p>\n<p>The letter shows a willingness to hit but the fear of<br>\nstriking. Note the writer tiptoeing around his wish to threaten<br>\nthat letters such as ours may lead to \"veteran readers\" to stop<br>\nreading your paper.<\/p>\n<p>Since The Jakarta Post has just carried out a survey on its<br>\nreadership, the editors might be in a position to judge by<br>\nthemselves what the majority of its readers think.
