At <br>\nleast, not that I heard.<\/p>\n<p>An article in The Jakarta Post on June 5 commented that <br>\nenvironmentalists were \"up in arms\" that none of the parties were <br>\nspeaking about environmental issues.<\/p>\n<p>In the \"Speakers Corner\" on June 7 Pak Didiek, a security <br>\nofficer, had the right idea, as he very eloquently put it: \"Now, <br>\na presidential speech of that caliber might make us sit up and <br>\nlisten\".<\/p>\n<p>Come on would-be-presidents, please say that you will do your <br>\nbit to save this little corner of the earth from all us greedy <br>\nconsumers.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, it won't be votes you are fighting for next time, <br>\nbut who will take home the last log.<\/p>\n<p>CYNTHIA HELEN CROSS<br>\nBogor, West Java<\/p>",
