        "content": "<p>No go on planned hostage release<\/p>\n<p>VANIMO, Papua New Guinea: An Irianese separatist guerrilla<br>\ngroup did not release as expected on Friday 11 hostages abducted<br>\nfrom Arso village in Irian Jaya on May 11, an official said.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent visit to Jayapura, chief of the Papuan defense<br>\nforces Brig. Gen. Jerry Singirok said the hostages would be<br>\nreleased by the rebels here on May 28.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia's consul to this town in Papua's Sandaun province,<br>\nBudi Santoso, told reporters here that the group's leader, Hans<br>\nBomay, has not given a new date for the release of the hostages,<br>\nmost of whom are migrant women.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian authorities, who earlier said Bomay took the<br>\nhostages across the border to Papua New Guinea, have asked Papuan<br>\nPrime Minister Bill Skate to help secure their release.<\/p>\n<p>High-ranking Papuan officials, including Skate and Singirok,<br>\nwere also waiting to witness the release of the 11 Irianese<br>\nhostages on Friday, Santoso said.<\/p>\n<p>\"Brig.
