'No decision on leaving IMF'<\/p>\n

The deputy governor of Bank Indonesia said on Tuesday the country
\nhas not yet decided whether it will graduate from the
\nInternational Monetary Fund's financial shelter.<\/p>\n
"The decision's not been made," said Miranda Goeltom. But, she
\nsaid, authorities are considering what conditions would be
\nnecessary before such a step could be taken.<\/p>\n
"From Bank Indonesia's outlook, no oil price crash below US$12
\na barrel and no major political disruptions" would be necessary.
\nAll politicians involved in such a move would also have to be on
\nboard, she told an audience at an Asia Society conference.<\/p>\n
"It has everything to do with perceptions," she added. "We
\nhave to be able to convince the market that whatever policy
\nframework is on the table is consistently deliverable."<\/p>\n
The country's balance of payments outlook is "still okay," she
\nnoted, adding that it would be "affordable to refinance through
\nthe Paris Club" of lenders, a grouping of creditor nations.<\/p>\n
The government has been facing strong political pressure not
\nto continue the existing IMF program when it expires end of this
\nyear.<\/p>",
