        "content": "<p>N.Korean No.2 woos Vietnam<\/p>\n<p>HANOI (AFP): North Korea's titular head of state, Kim Yong-<br>\nNam, arrived here on Wednesday on the first such visit in four<br>\ndecades aimed at wooing Vietnam's support ahead of a key regional<br>\nforum here later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Kim, the number two in the North Korean regime after supreme<br>\nleader Kim Jong-Il, was due to hold talks with top Vietnamese<br>\nleaders to consolidate a mounting rapprochement between the long<br>\nestranged ideological soulmates.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the two countries are among the world's last<br>\nsurviving communist regimes, it was the first visit here by a top<br>\nNorth Korean leader in some 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>Airport officials confirmed Kim's arrival but Vietnam's<br>\ncommunist authorities threw up a protective cordon around their<br>\npublicity-shy visitors, barring Vietnamese and foreign<br>\njournalists from any contact with the North Korean delegation.<\/p>",
