Nippondenso helps supply Timor<\/p>\n
TOKYO: Japanese component manufacturer, Nippondenso, plans to
\nhelp South Korean parts maker, Poong-sung Electric Co, supply
\ncomponents for Indonesia's Timor car.<\/p>\n
Poong-sung is an affiliate of Kia Motor Corp and plans to
\nbuild a plant in Indonesia to manufacture starter motors and
\nother electronic components.<\/p>\n
However, the Japanese firm's offer of help will be limited to
\ntechnological areas and introducing parts suppliers because the
\ncompany does not want to offend Japanese, U.S. and European
\ncarmakers who have complained about the tax concessions Timor
\nreceives.<\/p>\n
Nippondenso already has a plant in Indonesia producing air-
\nconditioning systems and radiators for a number of local
\nassemblers.<\/p>",
