He added that sexual harassment occurred against both men and\nwomen during detention, describing their treatment as inhumane. \u2018Even\nnumerous cases of sexual harassment were endured by both genders during\nthe prolonged ordeal. Additionally, we were treated like animals while\nimprisoned,\u2019 he said. Despite the torture, Herman stressed they did not\nconsider themselves heroes for Palestine. \u2018All this, God willing, does\nnot make us the most deserving of credit. What we did for Palestine is\nminuscule compared to the suffering of our brothers and sisters there,\u2019\nhe said, weeping. Another volunteer, Rahendro Herubowo, recounted being\nstamped on and subjected to electric shocks. When he shouted loudly, the\nIsraeli soldiers stopped. \u2018I was punched in the head multiple times,\nthen beaten on the front and back, fell, and was stamped on. Finally, I\nwas electrocuted, which made me scream loudly, and only then did they\nrelease me,\u2019 he said.
