        "content": "<p>Intense rainfall since Saturday until Sunday morning has triggered\nwidespread flooding across Tangerang City in Banten Province, with nine\ndistricts affected and water depths ranging from 40 centimetres to a\nmaximum of 1.5 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Kota Tangerang, Mahdiar, indicated that extreme\nweather was the main cause of flooding in residents\u2019 homes and several\nmajor roads. \u2018The heavy rain that continued from yesterday through\nSunday morning fell without pause, resulting in floods and puddles in\nseveral locations,\u2019 Mahdiar said when contacted in Tangerang on Sunday\n(8\/3).<\/p>\n<p>Periuk District recorded the most significant impact, with water at\nAlamanda Bridge measured at 1.5 metres. Floods also inundated Jalan\nUtama Mutiara Pluit, Jalan Utama Danau Situ Bulakan, and Jalan Duta\nPerum Taman Cibodas.<\/p>\n<p>Some residents affected began to be evacuated to several shelters,\nincluding RPH and Mushola Petir Cipondoh, Masjid Ma\u2019arif Petir, and GOR\nTotal Persada. BPBD and related agencies continued to stand by to\nanticipate rising water levels if rain returns.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We continue to evacuate residents to shelters for safety.
