Night transport not yet smooth<\/p>\n
The city's night transportation system, applied over the last
\nfew days, has not run as smoothly as expected, says an official
\nof the city administration.<\/p>\n
HM Djuhdi, head of the transportation development office of
\nthe City Land Transportation and Traffic Control Agency (DLLAJ) ,
\nsaid that bus companies have not fully supported this system as
\nis reflected by limited number of firms entering in the night
\ntransport business.<\/p>\n
Twelve bus companies are operating in the Greater Jakarta at
\npresent but only half of them provide night transport services,
\nhe was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying.<\/p>\n
Those providing night transport services are Mayasari Bhakti,
\nPPD, Metromini, Mikrolet, KWK and Kopaja, he added.<\/p>\n
Herman Tonglo Langi, head of the traffic sub-control agency of
\nDLLAJ, said that based on his agency's evaluation many buses
\nserved night routes at random. \"Only a few of them abode by
\nexisting regulations by dropping passengers at terminals on their
