        "content": "<p>NGO protests civilian attack<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA (JP): Yogyakarta's Non-Governmental Organizations'<br>\n(NGO) Forum strongly condemned an attack by a group of civilians<br>\non students protesting militarism in front of the Yogyakarta<br>\nstudios of state-owned radio station RRI on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In its written statement made available to the media, the<br>\nForum, consisting of 74 NGOs, said that the incident indicated<br>\nthat civilians had now became the 'vehicle of violence'.<\/p>\n<p>A group of people garbed in black and wielding offensive<br>\nweapons attacked the student protesters, leaving two students<br>\ninjured.<\/p>\n<p>\"It is not the first time that civilians have attacked student<br>\nprotesters in Yogyakarta. Nothing has been done to deal with<br>\nthis, however,\" the statement, signed by Martinus Ujianto and<br>\nDamar Dwi Nugroho, said.<\/p>\n<p>\"We, therefore, demand that the Yogyakarta Provincial Police<br>\nconduct a thorough probe into the incident and take the<br>\nassailants to the court.\" the statement added.
