Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital
Affairs (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria has urged Indonesian youth to
understand the developing technologies as a provision that can be used
when this young generation becomes digital leaders. With the right
knowledge about developing technologies, Nezar said the young generation
can become policymakers who are accurate and provide benefits to many
parties. “Technology sector policies require sufficiently broad
knowledge so that regulations can be formulated accurately and
strategically,” Nezar said in his statement received and confirmed in
Jakarta on Wednesday. As a figure who also formulates policies for
Indonesian society, especially in the technology sector, Nezar conveyed
the message that the young generation must understand that policy
decision-making does not stop at the discussion process alone. Further
steps such as measuring the impact when a policy is implemented must
also be carried out in the future so that the policy can be on target.
Then, in ensuring technology-related policies, Nezar advised future
digital leaders to prioritise the element of human resources that are
increasingly empowered and not just focus on developing technology.
Technology-related policies are best not to hinder innovation but also
to ensure that public safety remains maintained and can even create new
job opportunities.
",
