        "content": "<p>News, films and child behavior<\/p>\n<p>From Kompas<\/p>\n<p>Reports of elementary school students committing suicide makes<br>\nme wonder why some children take their own lives over trivial<br>\nmatters.<\/p>\n<p>One of the factors causing such misfortune can be attributed<br>\nto acts of violence and films depicting vulgar and brutal scenes.<br>\nThese programs are in fact not fit for children and can affect<br>\ntheir behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Though most parents have tried to help their children choose<br>\nand watch the right entertainment, they cannot fully control the<br>\nyoungsters because of limited time. In this case the government<br>\nshould assume the control function to guarantee the future of<br>\nIndonesian children, whose characters are corrupted by such<br>\nprograms.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, prior to TV broadcasting, the government should<br>\ncensor many of the shows.<\/p>\n<p>ILHAM PUTU SURYA<\/p>\n<p>Denpasar, Bali<\/p>",
