        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 Kuntadi, the newly appointed Deputy Attorney General for\nSpecial Crimes (Jampidsus), has immediately affirmed his commitment to\nresolving the various major cases currently being handled by the\nAttorney General\u2019s Office (Kejaksaan Agung).<\/p>\n<p>Cases that have drawn public attention, he said, will be prioritised\nfor evaluation and expedited resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Kuntadi made the statement after being inaugurated by Attorney\nGeneral ST Burhanuddin at the Attorney General\u2019s Office building in\nJakarta on Friday, 24 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Kuntadi said the first step he would take after assuming the post of\nJampidsus would be to carry out internal consolidation while evaluating\nall ongoing case handling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn line with the Attorney General\u2019s instructions, there are two\npoints of focus, namely carrying out consolidation, both internally and\nexternally, as well as conducting an evaluation,\u201d Kuntadi said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the evaluation process will not only target ongoing\ncases but will also focus on major cases that have attracted widespread\npublic attention, as well as cases involving significant state\nlosses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will evaluate all case handling, including cases that have drawn\npublic attention and cases involving substantial sums,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kuntadi stressed that accelerating case handling would continue to\nuphold the principle of professional law enforcement. He assured that\nintegrity, objectivity and transparency would be the main foundations in\nevery investigation of special crimes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we must guard most closely is integrity, objectivity and\ntransparency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Kuntadi said coordination with the Deputy Attorney\nGeneral for Supervision (Jamwas) would continue to be strengthened on\nthe oversight aspect. Meanwhile, administrative support and technical\ncontrol of case handling will be carried out by the Jampidsus ranks to\nensure the law enforcement process runs optimally.<\/p>\n<p>Kuntadi\u2019s remarks signal that a number of major cases currently\nhandled by the Attorney General\u2019s Office will continue under his\nleadership, with a comprehensive evaluation as the initial step before\nthe acceleration of case resolution is carried out.<\/p>",
