New website on Kalimantan<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA (JP): Those who are interested in learning more
\nabout Kalimantan can now visit www.kalteng.net to obtain detailed
\ninformation on the island.<\/p>\n
The new website was launched in a ceremony at Century
\nInternational Hotel in Yogyakarta last Friday.<\/p>\n
Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Nahfon Taway led the
\nceremony which was attended by hundreds of students from
\nKalimantan who are studying in Yogyakarta, public figures from
\nKalimantan living in Yogyakarta and dozens of journalists.<\/p>\n
The coordinator of the Kalimantan Center of Information
\nNetwork (JARI PUSAKA), Wawan Wiraatmaja, told The Jakarta Post
\nthe new website aimed to be an important source of information on
\nKalimantan, especially Central Kalimantan.<\/p>\n
\"The website is run from Yogyakarta, where most of its editors
\nare studying here,\" said Wawan, a student of Gadjah Mada
\nUniversity's School of Engineering.<\/p>\n
\"We also have many correspondents in Kalimantan and other
\ncities in Indonesia who provide us with the latest reports on
\nKalimantan,\" he added.<\/p>\n
Asked about the amount of money invested in the website, Wawan
\nsaid: \"Don't ask about the money. It's very small compared to
