New postgraduate program at UI<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The University of Indonesia's postgraduate
\ndepartment has announced the opening of a new sociology program.<\/p>\n
The new program in social development management is offered to
\nlecturers, journalists, members of non-government organizations
\nand other practitioners wishing to attain better knowledge in
\napplied sociology.<\/p>\n
Major subjects, ranging from methodological research to social
\ndevelopment planning, will be provided in the new program, which
\nis designed for mid-career professionals.<\/p>\n
The postgraduate department's spokesman Hadi Prabowo said the
\nprogram is open to those having S1 degrees from various
\ndisciplines.<\/p>\n
\"Employees of state and private institutions are anticipated
\nto join the program, because lectures at the university's campus
\nin Salemba will be scheduled from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.,\" said Hadi.<\/p>\n
Hadi explained that the opening of the new program raised the
\nnumber of postgraduate programs at the university to 42.<\/p>\n
Those interested in the new program this year are invited to
\nget registration forms at the campus at Jl. Salemba Raya No. 4,
\nCentral Jakarta, and submit them by June 6.<\/p>\n
\"The program will be held over four semesters with a tuition
\nfee of Rp 4.5 million and payment for campus facilities amounting
\nto Rp 15,000 per semester,\" said Siti Djaroh, another official at
