        "content": "<p>The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has officially appointed five\nnew board members following approval by the plenary session of the\nIndonesian House of Representatives this morning, Thursday 12 March\n2026. The approved positions include the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and\nthree Executive Heads of the OJK.<\/p>\n<p>New Deputy Chairman Hernawan Bekti Sasongko stated that the\norganisation will undertake internal business process simplification,\nincluding strengthening human resources. \u201cGiven the numerous commitments\nthat must be fulfilled, human resources will also be strengthened\nalongside the simplification of business processes themselves,\u201d Bekti\nsaid following the House plenary session at the DPR Building on Thursday\n12 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that all nine board members of the OJK will implement a\ncollective collegial system in carrying out their mandate. The\ncollective collegial system is a leadership and decision-making approach\nconducted jointly by a group of individuals. \u201cThe collective collegial\napproach, with the team itself, represents solidarity across sectors,\u201d\nBekti stated.<\/p>\n<p>Bekti is not a new face at the OJK. Previously, he served as a member\nof the Financial Services Authority Supervisory Board since 2023. He is\nalso listed as a commissioner of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia since\n2022.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this appointment, Bekti was known as a career official at\nBank Indonesia before transitioning to the OJK. He served as Deputy\nCommissioner for Strategic Management at the Financial Services\nAuthority (2016-2017), Senior Advisor\/Deputy Commissioner of the\nStrategic Committee at the Financial Services Authority (2017-2020), and\nDeputy Commissioner for International Affairs and Research at the\nFinancial Services Authority (2020-2022).<\/p>",
