Java<\/p>\n<p>BOJONEGORO, East Java: Local residents in the Bojonegoro<br>\nvillage of Beji have discovered 26 new oil wells after the<br>\nearlier finding of two wells in the neighboring villages of<br>\nMojodelik and Sukowati.<\/p>\n<p>The 26 new oil wells are located in the Beji forest, Jiyanto,<br>\nwho heads a village cooperative unit managing local wells, said<br>\nhere on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Jiyanto said that compared to the oil wells in Wonocolo and<br>\nHargomulyo villages, which were discovered in the traditional<br>\nway, the newly-found oil wells were much bigger.<\/p>\n<p>Citing an example, he said the Bogo Sasono well (BS.02), which<br>\nhad already been dug and was in operation, could produce an<br>\nestimated 25,000 liters of crude oil per day.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the new wells would not be managed by his<br>\ncooperatives, but by local people, the state oil company<br>\nPertamina, and a Jakarta-based private sector company, PT Trifika<br>\nMetha Patra Wiseska.<\/p>",
