New office slated for Kalideres<\/p>\n
Governor Surjadi Soedirdja said the city administration would
\nbuild a new subdistrict office for the Kalideres subdistrict,
\nWest Jakarta, to replace the present one which is in a
\ndilapidated state.<\/p>\n
\"We have been considering it for a long time, but the
\nrealization of the project depends on the government's financial
\nability,\" Surjadi said in response to question from a resident of
\nthe subdistrict. Surjadi visited Kalideres over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The present Kalideres subdistrict office, built in 1975, is
\nlocated amid slum areas connected only by narrow alleyways.<\/p>\n
Surjadi said the city administration had allotted a 1,270
\nsquare-meter site for the new subdistrict office building not far
\nfrom major roads and one house at the Citra Garden housing
\ncomplex for the official residence of the subdistrict head.<\/p>\n
Surjadi also announced that Kalideres would get an elementary
\nschool building which will be built on a 7,000 square-meter site.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, Achmad Suwaidi, another Kalideres resident,
\nasked the governor to move the present Kalideres bus terminal to
\nRawabuaya, also in West Jakarta, as soon as possible because
\nthere are many disturbances at the present terminal.<\/p>\n
The construction of the Rawabuaya terminal is scheduled to be
