        "content": "<p>New hotel to operate<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Singapore-based Equatorial Group will start<br>\noperating a four-star hotel here early next month, offering some<br>\n405 rooms.<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Metro Equatorial, located in Tanah Abang, Central<br>\nJakarta, plans to compete with other well-operated hotels of the<br>\nsame class in the nearby area of Jl. Thamrin, including Sari Pan<br>\nPacific and Nikko's President Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Equatorial's public relations manager Miriam J. Taranteyn told<br>\nThe Jakarta Post yesterday that the hotel will have its soft<br>\nopening early next month.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the hotel is the sixth property in Asia managed<br>\nby the Equatorial Group, with the others located in Singapore,<br>\nMalaysia, China and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel is owned by PT Tanah Abang Indah Pratama, a<br>\nsubsidiary of Metro Group, which runs shopping centers,<br>\nsupermarkets and real estate businesses.
