        "content": "<p>New hospital in Bumi Serpong<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT KPJ Medica, an Indonesian-Malaysian joint<br>\nventure company, will build a 100-bed hospital in Bumi Serpong<br>\nDamai, 50 kilometers west of here, in August.<\/p>\n<p>The company's chief commissioner, Rahmat Ismail, said the<br>\nhospital, which will require a US$11 million investment, is<br>\nexpected to start operation by early 1997.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital will be 75 percent owned by Kumpulan Perubatan<br>\nJohor (KPJ) Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia and 25 percent by PT Optima<br>\nDipa Medica of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The two companies --  members of the communication forum for<br>\nbusiness people of the same origin (Fokus), which groups mostly<br>\nMalay businessmen from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore<br>\n-- signed the joint-venture agreement on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital will be built on a 12,000 square meter plot.<\/p>\n<p>Dato' Mohammad Ali of the KPJ said the construction,<br>\nfacilities and management of the planned hospital will follow the<br>\ninternational quality standardization applied to all of KPJ's<br>\nhospitals.<\/p>\n<p>KPJ, the health-care division of Johor State Economic<br>\nDevelopment Corporation, owns and manages seven hospitals in<br>\nMalaysia.
