New envoys submit credentials<\/p>\n
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received on Wednesday
\ncredentials from new European Union
\nDelegation of the European Commission Ambassador Jean Breteche,
\nSouth African Ambassador Griffiths Mandlekosi Memela and Qatari
\nAmbassador Yousif Khalifa Abdullah Al-Sada.<\/p>\n
The three submitted their credentials at the State Palace.<\/p>\n
Breteche was formerly the EU Commission representative in
\nPalestine Territory, while Memela arrived in Indonesia after
\nserving as the first South Africa High Commissioner to Kenya.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview with The Jakarta Post, Memela said South
\nAfrica was keen on cooperating with Indonesia in developing
\nsmall- and medium-scale enterprises.<\/p>\n
Memela's arrival came as ties between Indonesia and South
\nAfrica are flourishing with the two countries jointly sponsoring
\nthe Asia-Africa Summit here next month. They also co-hosted the
\nAsia-Africa Sub-Regional Organizations Conference last year.<\/p>\n
In his statement after the ceremony Yousif said he hoped to
\nimprove bilateral relations between Qatar and Indonesia. -- JP<\/p>",
