As a result, most of the\nroute was covered with landslide debris, necessitating an open-closed\ntraffic system. The Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Gunungkidul\nBPBD, Edy Winarta, said the incident began when rain of moderate\nintensity hit Watugajah, Gedangsari, on Thursday (16\/4\/2025) around\n11:00 p.m. WIB. Then, this morning at 06:20 a.m. WIB, residents\ndiscovered landslide material on the New Clongop Road. \u201cAfter checking,\nit turned out there was a landslide on the New Clongop Road,\u201d he said\nwhen contacted by reporters on Friday (17\/4\/2025). This was followed by\nreports from residents to the Gunungkidul Regency BPBD. Upon receiving\nthe report, BPBD personnel immediately went to the scene to conduct an\nassessment. \u201cThe assessment results showed that the landslide material\ncovered 70% of the New Clongop Road,\u201d he stated.
