The assault incident involving the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian\nSolidarity Party (PSI), Ronald A. Sinaga, alias Bro Ron, has entered a\nnew phase. Now, the alleged perpetrator has filed a counter-report\nagainst Bro Ron with the police.<\/p>\n
As compiled by detikcom on Wednesday (6\/5\/2026), Bro Ron experienced\nthe assault in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, while accompanying\nseveral company employees in a mediation regarding wages. The assault on\nBro Ron went viral after it was uploaded by the Instagram account of\nNasDem Party politician, Sahroni.<\/p>\n
The assault occurred on Monday (4\/5) at 16:22 WIB. Initially, Ronald\narrived with 15 employees of PT SKS to hold an audience at the MPP law\nfirm regarding the unpaid wages of the employees.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause the audience could not meet with the MPP party who was being\ndemonstrated against, the Menteng Metro Police Sector eventually took\nthe initiative to hold mediation at the Menteng Metro Police Sector\noffice,\u201d explained the Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta\nMetro Police, IPTU Erlyn Sumantri.<\/p>\n
She stated that the audience at the law firm location initially\nproceeded safely and conducively with police accompaniment. However, a\ngroup of unidentified individuals then appeared and, without clear\nreason, carried out intimidation and obstructed the audience\nprocess.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of the actions of that group, the situation heated up\nand an altercation arose, ultimately leading to the victim receiving\npunches from that group,\u201d Erlyn explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen, officers separated the victim and the respondent and secured\nthem to be brought to the Menteng Metro Police Sector for further\nexamination,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
The assault perpetrator, along with one party involved in the brawl,\nwas arrested by the police. They underwent examination at the Menteng\nPolice Sector.<\/p>\n
Alleged Perpetrator Files Counter-Report<\/p>\n
However, now the alleged assault perpetrator has filed a\ncounter-report against Ronald with the police. The report, in the name\nof Muhammad Rizal Berhet, is registered under number LP\/B\/34\/V\/2026\/SPKT\nat the Menteng Metro Police Sector, dated 4 May 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true that the alleged assault perpetrator has filed a\ncounter-report. The counter-report at the Menteng Police Sector is for\nassault,\u201d said the Head of Criminal Investigation of the Central Jakarta\nMetro Police, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, when contacted on Wednesday\n(6\/5).<\/p>\n
Confirmed separately, the reporter named M. Rizal Berhet said he\nreported Ronald on suspicion of Article 466 of the Criminal Code\nregarding the crime of assault. Rizal also claimed that Bro Ron directed\nracist remarks towards him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s correct, I filed a counter-report against the individual. The\nreport concerns assault and mobbing accompanied by inappropriate\ninsults,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Rizal claimed that Ronald assaulted him first. In addition, according\nto Rizal, Ronald allegedly directed racist statements towards him.<\/p>\n

Bro Ron Denies Racism Allegations<\/p>\n
Through his personal Instagram account, Ronald denied the racism\nallegations. He is seen sitting on a hospital bed accompanied by several\npeople, including PT SKS employees and his personal staff from\nAmbon.<\/p>\n

Ronald explained that he came to the audience because the MPP party\nthat the PT SKS employees wanted to meet was his old friend. However,\nunexpectedly, Ronald became the victim of an assault from the party\nclaiming to be the security of the MPP office.<\/p>\n
