        "content": "<p>New buses presented for APEC<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto<br>\nyesterday presented 105 buses to be used by delegates of the Asia<br>\nPacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, participants of the<br>\nAPEC Ladies' Program and to carry the delegations' luggage.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the fleets of Mercedes-Benz buses, owned by the state-<br>\nowned PPD and DAMRI bus companies and the private PT Hiba Utama<br>\nfirm, were initially used during the Tenth Non-Aligned Movement<br>\nSummit two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Some, however, were newly imported less than six months ago.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the air-conditioned PPD buses used for the APEC<br>\ndelegates were taken from fleets regularly used for Jakarta's<br>\npublic transportation system.<\/p>\n<p>Haryanto said to fill the vacuum, PT Mayasari has been asked<br>\nto deploy more buses in Jakarta for the duration of the APEC<br>\nmeetings.<\/p>\n<p>\"This is not an easy task because great discipline and<br>\nresponsibility are needed...
