        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The newly appointed chief executive of BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan (the Employment Social Security Agency), Saiful Hidayat,\nhas said he will implement a five-year strategic direction aimed at\nexpanding membership coverage, including targeting informal and migrant\nworkers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to ensure that coverage for informal workers, or\nnon-wage-receiving workers, and migrant workers can be included, as\nthere is still much room for improvement at present,\u201d said Hidayat in a\nstatement received in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>His remarks came after Coordinating Minister for Community\nEmpowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar inaugurated the new Supervisory\nBoard and Board of Directors of both BPJS Kesehatan (Health) and BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan (Employment) for the 2026\u20132031 term in Jakarta on the\nsame day.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, Hidayat expressed his appreciation for the trust and\nmandate bestowed by the President. He outlined the five-year strategic\ndirection through a 3C approach: Coverage, Care, and Credibility.<\/p>\n<p>The first priority, he explained, is Coverage \u2014 expanding membership\nin a more structured and measurable manner, given that millions of\nworkers across various sectors remain unprotected.<\/p>\n<p>He said the primary focus would be directed at accelerating the\nacquisition of new participants, particularly in the informal sector and\namong micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), accompanied by the\noptimisation of distribution channels and ecosystem collaboration. At\nthe same time, improving retention and contribution compliance among\nactive participants would also be a priority to ensure sustainable\nprotection.<\/p>\n<p>The second priority is Care, to be realised through strengthening\nservice quality based on innovation, digital transformation, and\nstrategic cross-sector collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to deliver services that are not merely administrative, but\nthat truly feel like a manifestation of the state\u2019s presence for workers\nand their families,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In implementation, the Care strategy would focus on faster, easier,\nand more transparent claims services, the strengthening of benefit\nprogrammes including supplementary services such as housing, and the\ndevelopment of an end-to-end digital participant experience.<\/p>\n<p>The third priority is Credibility, as the foundation for\ninstitutional sustainability. He stressed the importance of data\naccuracy and integration, as well as accountable governance, to\ncontinually build public trust.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening credibility would be achieved through healthy and\nsustainable investment performance, prudent, accountable, and\nprofessional fund management, and consistent and trustworthy public\ncommunications. These measures are expected to reinforce the\ninstitution\u2019s reputation whilst ensuring increasingly robust\ngovernance.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, President Prabowo Subianto established the new BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan leadership through Presidential Decree of the Republic\nof Indonesia No.\u00a018\/P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment\nof Supervisory Board Members and Board of Directors Members of BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan.<\/p>\n<p>The decree marks the beginning of a new leadership period for the\n2026\u20132031 term, effective from 19 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Under the decree, the President appointed Saiful Hidayat as Chief\nExecutive of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, replacing Pramudya Iriawan Buntoro,\nwho had completed his term.<\/p>\n<p>Also appointed were Ihsanudin as Director of Strategic Planning and\nInformation Technology, Harjono Siswanto as Director of Human Capital\nand General Affairs, Agung Nugroho as Director of Membership, Trisna\nSonjaya as Director of Services, Eko Purnomo as Director of Investment\nDevelopment, and Bambang Joko Sutarto as Director of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Dedi Hardianto, representing the workers\u2019 element, was\nappointed as Chairman of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Supervisory Board,\nreplacing Muhammad Zuhri, who had completed his term.<\/p>\n<p>He was appointed alongside Swartoko and Sudarso representing the\ngovernment element, Ujang Romli representing workers, Abdurrakhman\nLahabato and Sumarjono Saragih representing employers, and Alif\nNoeriyanto Rahman representing community figures as Supervisory Board\nMembers for the 2026\u20132031 term.<\/p>",
