        "content": "<p>Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid announced\nthat a number of electronic system operators (PSE) from various\ncategories\u2014including streaming platform Netflix, the game PUBG\n(PlayerUnknown\u2019s Battlegrounds), and marketplace Shopee\u2014have fulfilled\nthe self-assessment requirements under PP Tunas. Under PP Tunas\n(Government Regulation No.\u00a017 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic\nSystems in Child Protection), a mandatory self-assessment for risk\nprofiles must be carried out by all PSEs operating in Indonesia. \u201cIt has\nbeen exactly three months since PP TUNAS was implemented at the end of\nMarch 2026. Currently, around 175 product service features under 64 PSEs\nhave completed the self-assessment and submitted it to the Ministry of\nCommunication and Digital Affairs,\u201d Minister Meutya said in Central\nJakarta on Tuesday. The obligation for PSEs to conduct a self-assessment\nas a form of compliance with PP Tunas involves an internal evaluation of\ntheir respective products, features, and services or platforms. The\nresults of this internal assessment are then reported to the Ministry\nfor further evaluation. Aspects assessed by PSEs include identifying the\nrisk level of the platform for users under 16 years of age, the\npotential for exposure to harmful content such as violence, pornography,\nand bullying, the readiness and accuracy of age verification systems,\ncontent moderation mechanisms, and the availability of parental control\nfeatures. Meutya stated that the evaluation results will serve as the\nbasis for determining the risk category of a platform and its\nsuitability for specific age groups. \u201cBecause we use a risk-based\napproach, each risk must be examined one by one; the process does take\ntime. We measure every risk, including risks related to content, contact\nwith strangers, addiction, health, and various other risks,\u201d Meutya\nsaid. \u201cThis approach differs from a number of countries that impose\nblanket restrictions on children\u2019s access to social media. Platforms\nmust also be willing to change for the better. Therefore, we measure the\nchanges they make, including features designed to be safer for\nchildren,\u201d Meutya concluded. Minister Meutya reminded platforms that\nhave not yet submitted their self-assessment to immediately fulfil their\nobligations, lest they be automatically categorised as high-risk\nplatforms. Gaming titles that have submitted their self-assessment\nresults for PP TUNAS include Roblox, PUBG Online, Crossfire, Age of\nEmpire Mobile, Valorant, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends. From the\ne-commerce or marketplace category, Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, and\nTikTok Shop have complied. In the payment system category, Dana, Gopay,\nand Flip.id have submitted their assessments, while ChatGPT and Grab are\nlisted in other categories.<\/p>",
