        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Netflix has announced it will introduce an\nad-supported subscription package in Indonesia starting in 2027 as part\nof its expansion to 15 new countries.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Indonesia, the service expansion also includes\nAustria, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Thailand, Ireland, the Netherlands,\nNew Zealand, Norway, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden, and\nSwitzerland.<\/p>\n<p>In an official statement on Thursday, Netflix stated that the\nad-supported package will provide a more affordable pricing option for\nsubscribers while opening new opportunities for brands and advertisers\nto reach the platform\u2019s audience.<\/p>\n<p>The Netflix ad-supported package will still offer access to a wide\nrange of series and films on the platform, with the addition of some\nadvertisements during viewing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to expand the Netflix ad-supported package to 15\nnew countries in 2027, including Indonesia. Currently, the service is claimed to reach more than 250\nmillion monthly active users globally, with more than 80 percent of\nactive subscribers watching every week.<\/p>\n<p>The company also stated that the ad-supported package now contributes\nmore than 60 percent of total new subscribers in the first quarter of\nthis year.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix said it is currently working with more than 4,000 global\nadvertisers, an increase of 70 percent compared to the previous year.\nThe company\u2019s advertising revenue is projected to reach around $3\nbillion this year, doubling compared to 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to expanding its advertising business, Netflix will also\nintroduce new ad formats for podcasts and vertical videos starting in\n2027 and expand brand collaborations through the Tudum fan platform.<\/p>\n<p>The company also stated that it has utilised artificial intelligence\n(AI) technology to support the development of more interactive and\nimmersive advertising experiences on its platform.<\/p>",
