        "content": "<p>Nestle plans Asian base<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (AFP): Swiss food giant Nestle S.A. plans to make the<br>\nPhilippines its base for launching chocolate products into<br>\nsoutheast Asia, a senior official of the company said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Garrett, Nestle S.A. executive vice president, said<br>\nthe company plans to use newly-acquired Philippine Cocoa Corp.<br>\nfor this purpose by listing it under the ASEAN Industrial<br>\nCooperation (AICO) agreement to take advantage of tariff<br>\nincentives.<\/p>\n<p>ASEAN is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations grouping<br>\nBrunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand<br>\nand Vietnam.
