This week, Pertamina\u2019s LPG carrier MT Gas Attaka successfully docked\nat the Integrated LPG Terminal Jetty in Amurang, South Minahasa Regency,\nNorth Sulawesi. The vessel, with a capacity of approximately 1,700\nmetric tonnes of LPG, plays a crucial role in supporting LPG supply\nresilience in the Sulawesi and Kalimantan regions. Additionally, the LPG\ntanker Gas Ambalat docked at Kalbut, Situbondo. Gas Ambalat carried LPG\nsupplies for needs in East Java and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero),\nMuhammad Baron, stated that maritime routes are one of the mainstays of\nenergy distribution for delivering fuel oil (BBM) and LPG to regions\nacross Indonesia, an archipelagic nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the midst of global geopolitics, Pertamina remains committed to\nensuring energy distribution. Our ships are en route to deliver energy\nto the community,\u201d he explained in a statement on Sunday\n(12\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Overall, Pertamina, through its Downstream subholding, operates 345\nvessels, both owned and chartered, consisting of 271 fuel oil\/basic fuel\ncarriers, 27 crude carriers, 4 petrochemical carriers, and 43 LPG\ncarriers.<\/p>\n
This fleet serves various routes, including 57 underdeveloped,\nfrontier, and outermost (3T) regions scattered across the archipelago,\nfrom Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku to Papua.<\/p>\n
He added that ship operations are conducted by crew working in shifts\naround the clock to ensure safe and on-time distribution, especially in\nfacing extreme weather challenges and geographical navigation in\narchipelagic areas and 3T regions.<\/p>\n
Facing the geopolitical situation, Pertamina is also strengthening\noperations across all business lines. As an integrated energy company,\nupstream oil and gas production is being driven to increase, thereby\nadding to domestic production contributions.<\/p>\n
Additionally, optimisation of refinery processing to meet energy\nproduct needs for society and the industrial sector.<\/p>\n
In addition to operational strengthening, Pertamina is enhancing\ncollaboration with local governments and law enforcement agencies to\nmaintain national energy distribution governance. Pertamina supports\nfirm actions by authorities to crack down on individuals involved in\nhoarding or misuse of subsidised fuel oil and LPG.<\/p>\n
